Charging status on the vehicle's charging socket

The LED on the vehicle's charging socket indicates the current status of ongoing charging. The following table explains the individual LED states.

Flashing yellowThe charging process is being stopped
YellowWaiting-mode - waiting for charging to start
Flashing greenCharging is in progress
GreenCharging completed
Red

An error has occurred. Make sure that the charging cable is properly connected to the vehicle's charging socket and to the power source.

Then restart charging as follows:

  • Disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle's charging socket.
  • Wait a moment.
  • Reconnect the charging cable to the vehicle's charging socket.
  • If the problem persists, please contact Polestar customer support.
Flashing redThe vehicle is locked and does not detect a key nearby when the charging cable is unlocked via the button on the charging socket.
BlueScheduled charging activated.

 

Charging progress on display

The driver display shows the charge status in the form of an image and text. The information is displayed as long as the driver display is in operation.

Flashing greenThe frame of the driver's display flashes greenThe vehicle is charging and the approximate time to complete charging is displayed.
GreenThe frame of the driver's display lights up green.The vehicle is fully charged.
RedThe frame of the driver's display light up red.

An error has occurred. Make sure that the charging cable is properly connected to the vehicle's charging socket and to the power source.

  • Disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle's charging socket.
  • Wait a moment.
  • Reconnect the charging cable to the vehicle's charging socket.
  • If the problem persists, please contact Polestar customer support.
BlueThe frame of the driver's display light up blue.Schedules charging activated.
YellowThe frame of the driver's display light up yellow.The charging process has been interrupted and is waiting to be resumed.

 

In addition to the charging status, the following information is shown on the driver's display:

  • Actual and set amperage as well as number of phases
  • Charging power
  • Battery charge status in percent
  • Time until the vehicle is fully charged

⚠ Please note:

If the driver's display is not used for a long time, it goes out. Reactivate the display by doing one of the following:

  • depress the brake pedal,
  • open one of the doors
  • press one of the steering wheel buttons
